Postby joest165 » Mon Jul 20, 2015 3:53 pm

Hello folks

haven't been here in a long, long while..

I need your help...

I need to replace my clutch master cylinder with an Aisin unit.

now, I can either rebuild the master cylinder.. or just get a new Aisin replacement.

mine is the one with one stud and one hole..

online has been a source of uncertainties for me

so where can I go to get one?

thanks a bunch for your help, as always...

Joe

it is an 88

I ended up finding a toyota master cylinder rebuild kit..

I opened up the master cylinder, cleaned the guts out, replaced pistons and seals that come in the new kit...

good as new..

the Aisin master cylinder unit body looks like it is made of aluminum. This is better than steel units and will not corrode..

I recommend sticking with rebuilding your Aisin unit...

cheers

Thanks Joe,

I ended up buying a new Aisin Master cylinder off eBay p/n CMT-009. Hopefully it works!
