ABS Service Connector

Postby Orlando1990 » Mon Apr 11, 2016 7:43 pm

I've had an ABS code for a while on my 91' All Trac and I'm trying to get the light to blink for me to give me the codes but I've disconnected every connector while using the paper clip on the diagnostic port to find no luck.. The pictures are drawings and black/white from the repair manual.. Could someone take a picture of the abs service connector so I can get the codes out of my car? Please..

To get the codes, you need to jump pins TC and E1 on the diagnostic port (near LH fender). Then count the number of times the ABS light blinks, and that will give you the code. You don't need to disconnect any of the ABS connectors to get the codes. And you probably shouldn't disconnect anything before retrieving the codes as it may add more codes due to things being disconnected.

The instructions in the repair manual specifically say turn ignition in on position, then disconnect service connector the meet TC and E1 in that order.. The Toyota repair manual..

Took a closer look at the manual. You are correct. That connector is clipped on to the top of the radiator, passenger side, single wire connector. Looking through my photos now to see if I have a picture.

Found a picture. Wire appears to be green in the higher resolution version of the image.
