are the front axles the same length? im finally putting my car back together and I cant get the right axle in. It appears to be way too long. The stub fits in the transmission, but its way too long to get it in the hub. and the outters the same length?

Both sides are identical. The passenger side has an add on [slides on during assembly] vibration damper.
Aftermarket axles [most at least] won't even have the damper.

The inner joint might have come apart. They do that sometimes and can be a PITA to get back together.

thanks, i ran the part numbers from toyota and the outters are the same part number. I have done this a few times with no issues, I dont know why im having such a hard time with it now.

The axle shafts are the same length RH and LH. However, the stub that goes into the transmission is not the same between RH and LH. So if you have the wrong stub, you'll need to unbolt the stub from the axle shaft (6 hex key head bolts) and swap over the correct stub. Careful not to let the ball bearings fall out. They are a pain to get back together.
