Wiring Harness question

Hello,

So I have the shell all prepped for swap, but I have a question on the wiring harness.

I read that there is two harnesses - the engine harness and the chasis harness. Do I have to remove both harnesses and have the rewired for the motor or do I just need to have the engine harness rewired? (rewired since JDM motor) :shrug:

I'll have to disagree. The wiring changes are done on the chassis side usually, it is easier that way. The Engine harness will need to be extended, some parts may need to be shortened depending on your method. They both will require some changing.

These things are based on the idea that you are removing the 5S engine from a USDM FWD 5th gen celica and replacing it with a JDM 3SGTE. Is this what you are doing? if not then disregard.


What are you doing transmission wise?

well i didnt this swap and ive put a camry v6 tranny...fit well but the only prob is the left side axle shaft
