Rc engine infos plz

Hi,
Im going to pick up a jdm motor for my st185 and I would like to know any good infos how not to get ripped by those damn japs :shoots: lol just kidding ... I would like to know any infos from ppl who already have done the swap...can i keep my usdm harness...?:shrug: sorry for being such a noob but I just wanna be sure b4 I buy it...any other advice would be appreciated..thanks

Type long hand please, it helps in trying to read your post.

Are you getting an RC engine, or are you getting a Base model engine?

If you get the RC engine, make sure you get the AFM and ECU, or it won't run like it should.

A base model engine, you can swap all the plugs from the us harness to the japanese engine, I've done it.

I don't know about the RC engine and the US harness though.

From my own undertakings of a JDM engine I have learned this...

Even if it says low mileage it doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't abused. As long as the engine gen. and ecu are the same you should be fine regardless of it being US or Japanese. Hence why Superwhite92 was asking what type of swap you were looking at. Not all 3sgte's are the same...
