 Post subject: 1988 Supra turbo MAF in all trac?

ok so i know to can play with the fuel map with a screw on the supra turbo MAF sensors and i was wondering if they will work on my all trac. i wanna up the boost and if it swaps over i wanna try it to add more fuel. what the max boost the stock injectors can hadle? i heard 9psi and the i heard 15psi, if anyone knows then pass it on to me. thanks!

The supra maf is a non flapper door type and will not be direct swap, u would have to run a supra ecu somehow if u want to run the supra maf, i believe the supra is a hotwire maf type, as for the boost level on the stock setup, i wouldnt run more than 12 psi, i beleve ull get fuel cut with the PIM sensor after 12 if remember correctly. If you are upping you boost more than stock, i would have a wideband or you chance wrecking your engine

He means a 7mgte AFM not a 2jz MAF.

Also, many 7mgte supra owners go to a 1uz AFM from the LS400's.... FYI.

the 7MGTE uses a karman vortex MAF as well. IIRC the 7MGE and 5M use flapper door AFM's, but neither of those would be an upgrade.
