2.5" is good, yeah, but it's crushed/flattened to about 1" over the front crossmember, which is the problem... ><

you mean all st185 are crushed flattened at that area??? what do people do when they pass 3" through there because im planning on hooking up a 3" catback to it for the time being until i can afford a 3" midpipe

It actually just fits. you can bend or grind a little part of the cross member if it looks likes its going to rub or hit. and make sure you have good hangers so it doesnt vibrate.
but I have never had a problem w 3".
