Transmission Question

^I'm not sure if this is what you meant, but the Caldina gearbox is an E150f, not the E154f from the ST205. But in any case they are all interchangable as far as bolting up to the engine.

Cool... just wondering if the RC trans would bolt up to a Caldina motor, and do you guys know if the clutch would be the same? Could you buy a 2nd gen clutch kit and flywheel and will work with the Caldina?

Is that true? I read the 4th gen 3sgte had the 205 box in the gt-t model. I need to go do research now as I was thinking of a Caldina gearbox since they are much cheaper. I may just change my FD in the rc box. Not sue yet.

Manual transmission ST215 Caldina GT-T is an E150F (says that in EPC),
>> iirc it is not the same as the ST185 E150F (more info on Toymods forum )

echo: (Google search still works)

ST215 Caldina GT-T manual also features a E150F according to the VIN plate & EPC, but i have also been informed that it is different to the much earlier ST185 version, and hence more similar to the E154F found in the ST205.

I haven'tlooked into gear ratios or final drive yet... but search Toymods or AUS & NZ forums as these cars are more common over there and lots of good infos.

This doesn't really answer me as the other was asking if he could use the trany from an ST215. Sorry if I wasn't being clear, I was wondering if I buy a Caldina engine, would my RC gen2 trans bolt into it and work? I'm not worried about gear ratio for I am still using the same trans.
