i use the z series for a lot of things. i love the analog look and it matches pretty close to stock. all my digital ones are cyberdyne.

hey guys
I just got to run the car but encountered some problems with figuring out the stand alone. so shes still coming along, but havent been able to perform a test against the gauges just yet.
typical. oh well, its getting frustrating, but im working on it.
Ill keep you posted.
I have to say I like the gauges as far as installation and quality of construction.

those are interesting looking gauges, look to be good bang for the buck.

i really like the STRI gauges we have.
i suppose they don't look like the OEM gauges much but the amber lights up a nice red which matches the red LED's we put in the stock cluster.
i personally can't stand the factory green backlighting.
the STRI's are a much cheaper alternative to Defi gauges & you don't have to have a brain control unit for them which costs xtra $$$
i'm planning on getting oil pressure & water temp on down the road so all the gauges will match.

I do like the look of the koso's.
the are pretty close to the stock look and
I like the back light. you are right, that green is terrible...
I was thinking about the stri, but I couldnt really find any feedback
about them from anyone. same with the speedhut revolution gauges.
so people seemed to like the koso.
one thing I like is that I can wire the control units in series, so only one power wire, ground and switch for all the gauges. then you just run the jumper wire to the next control unit.
mounting all the control units was the hardest part...

well, as usual life gets in the way a bit.

I have no updates as the car hasnt left the garage... :(
there was quite a bit of wiring I needed to do, and that pushed everything back. but that is almost done and Im finally getting some free time.
So I will be working on it over christmas and new years
and will have some results then...

fingers crossed

so after a first run and at low boost levels,
it appears the Koso gauge is reading the same boost pressure
as the greddy at 5, 7, and 8 psi.
it was a prelim run...
Unfortunately the greddy is bar and the koso is psi
so I had to do the conversion, but I am coming up
with the same #'s on both sides.
this is good news, and we'll see how it holds up and
what the relationship is at higher levels.

sorry it took so long. but we all know how that goes...

I actually got a water temp for the I/C and egt too.
I like them so far. the egt gauge is dimmer than the others.
I think I may have it on a diff setting but I havent looked into that just yet.

I am going to order oil pressure and fuel pressure to finish out.

I will be buttoning up the interior between christmas and new years.
I am taking a little vacation to the garage.
but now that the car is running with the vipec, Im cleaning up wires
for the gauges, the EMS, H/E fans, I/C water pump
and hopefully putting back in the passenger seats...

so I will take pics of the interior going back together
and post them up...

It looks good. I like your console. Did you glass it yourself or modify your stock one? How are the lights on them?

Thanks. I actually cut out all the supports and just kept the outer ring of both pieces. Then I glassed over that and sanded it down. 3 sheets of glass and it was pretty rigid.
the first picture believe it or not the lights are on.
everything was switched on but you cant tell the lights are on
I guess because of the flash.
maybe Ill take a pic in the dark and see if that works.
but they look good, and go well with the stock dash I think.
not too bright at night, and white.
so for now Im happy with them.
