With my car, the left and right door sensors don't work anymore. But the rear hatch works just fine. What would be the problem... a bad ground or something? Anyone know how the wiring works for them?

I would suspect the door switch first.
I think it's common failure on 5th gen Celica.

Moto: Just go the wrecker's, they gotta be the same as the n/a Celicas

Lance: ok, I forgot about the cabin light

The odds are you don't need to replace them. The right one on my car stopped working. To fix it all I did was: Remove the bolt (10mm I think) and pull out the switch. Take the rubber cover the switch itself. Take some WD-40 or contact cleaner and soak the switch. Work the switch in and out. You will get alot of black WD-40 coming out. Keep working the switch and spraying WD-40 in it. After a while it will be cleaned out and work. Just put it back in and make sure the bolt is tight. That is the ground it uses to make the circuit complete.

Ill try the WD40 trick tommorrow see if it works. Do i have to remove the inside panel to get to it, or can i just remove the rubber piece and pull it out of the door that way?

Just peel back the rubber over the bolt and remove the bolt. Then carefully pull the switch out. After it is out you can totally remove the rubber cover and work on the switch. Keep in mind that you will still have the wire connected inside the car. There should be 6 or 8 inches of slack for you to work with though.
