Filling up the half din hole...

Can any one guess what I used to improvise for the half din hole in my dash? (no its not a cup holder!)

I cant believe I even thought of it LoL its a perfect fit! Check out the pic...

i will reveal the answer later or unless someone figures it out before hand...

hint there is a 95% chance that every house hold has one of these lieing around sumwhere..

was it only a wild guess? lol

ive changed it to a matted finish plate lol (wrecked 2 VHS tapes)... not so shiny now blends in better..

which means i have a spare one (the shiny one) if any one is interested or needs to cover up the half din gap... PM me

With A/M cd player installation adapter kits they usually come with a thin plastic piece with tabs that clip into place..... and its the perfect size for that slot you filled with a vhs tape.

Or at least thats what i've seen... :shrug:

those kits cost $30!! and what the point of getting the kit if i kept the original brackets and purchased the pocket for $8 and make the gap filler from vhs tape? :shrug:
