Road race, Auto X, or the Drag Strip

The show was nice. I had a chance to sit in an Elise and ride in a new Wranger on their offroad tracks and see a 2007 Tundra. Any way, I'm up for the meet in December. It should be nice then.

Nope, I did not get a ride in it. Back in Boston, I followed these cars to a car meet once and they are very quick, especially on twisty roads. I'm about 5'10" and sitting inside the Elise doesn't feel bad at all. Your right shoulder will be right next to your passenger. But you will have to keep your big shoes at home. There is no space for that. The worst part is not sitting in there, but the way you get in and out. You will need a special maneuver and be somewhat flexible.

I will ask my friend. You can also check out the guy that did my swap. He's at ease with Alltracs and MR2s, owned a few himself. He's also affordable. Let me know which way you want to go with that.

Any news on that shop?
Please let me know.

Hmm.. I definitely think the car can do better with those mods. I was able to run 13.92 @ 98.9 MPH in my car. I have 9.0:1 weisco pistons, 1mm hks HG, eagle rods.. etc.. Greddy TD06L2 20G at 12.5-13psi. Stock head, stock ecu, stock fuel system, stock airbox. I also had to shift slow because of bad syncros. Here is my slip for comparison.

Best GT-S STOCK times: 1/4: 14.788 @ 94.98mph 1/8: 9.640 @ 75.87mph
Best Alltrac times: 1/4: 12.2 @ 115mph 1/8th: 7.9 @ 91mph

Carlos,

Nice run with your alltrac. I'd like to take my MR2 back to Moroso and try and get some better times as well with the new wheel/tire combo I have on now. I never got the launch right and know there's at least a tenth or so with a better 60ft time.
How does it compare with your new WRX? I never took mine on the dragstrip but the new 2.5 motor should be better.

Wow, I need to start some serious modding to keep up with you guys. I've gone to the drags twice now with my stock alltrac and the best I can do is 15.702.

***UPDATE***

Postby silence » Mon Dec 11, 2006 3:44 pm

I went to moroso Saturday night, and ran a 13.5 at 102 mph. My 60' was 1.91. My goal was to run high 13's, so needless to say I am super happy with my mid 13. It was a cool night, upper 50's which helped, and I was running 16psi.
