Why? CF is meant to be functional.

Lol. Not into face CF honestly. The only faux CF on this car, is going to be the stock grill trim pieces, ha ha. My 240 I have been making mechanically awesome with no regard to looks, but I'd like to have a clean car for my daily driver. That's why I'm doing visual stuff on the celica. However, it wont all be looks

My goal is to have around 400awhp when I'm done with it. Obviously not right away, but eventually. And the suspension will be done correctly as well. I want to buy another one for "off-road" purposes though... haha

And this mod is functional? :P

I personally wouldn't go with a CF wrap or even vinyl for that matter..just a suggestion, nobody needs to get anything of theirs into a knot :D

Anyway, to the OP, here's a link to an old thread about this:

viewtopic.php?f=24&t=34124&hilit=bumper

Towards the bottom, there are pics showing an FMIC mounted behind the bumper.

I went with a lighter color black/grey, to somewhat represent plastic better or to match the GTR/EVO pics better. Probably could have gone darker, but you get the idea.

Lol, I knew I've seen that thread somewhere, but couldn't find it!

It won't be happening anytime soon, I just wanted to get opinions!

Oh pull the stick out Rene. :P This is an appearance thread. Seeing as they are wrapping exotics in CF vinyl nowadays, and the car has non-functional decorative CF on it from the factory, there's no reason for him not to wrap a couple bumper pieces. It's a much better alternative than permanently altering the paint. And he can take it off if,when he gets bored with it.

Now that I think about it, CF wrap would probably be a nicer complement to the stock CF trim than matte.

^ LOL!

I guess I'm an old fart but I say just leave it the way it is - nicely painted OEM colored front bumper = clean.

Lower it, put a fmic in. Performance is always the 1st option, other than that man its really up to you and your style, go with what makes you enjoy it more.
