I haven't even really looked at my car in forever.... But does this help us at all? These run about $400 i think.

Dimensions are 8.75" wide, between 7.75 and 8" deep (including the curve of the lens which looks like it just barely extends past the housing. It's 6" high with the bracket (piece sticking down in the head-on shot. If you are thinking of a custom install and don't need that bracket, it is 4.25" high + the two nuts that are a part of the main assembly.

Cool, where are those from?

The celica's shroud only has one hole in the middle, but it wouldnt be a problem drilling it.

And both cars use the same sized halogen bulbs...

Thanks for the pics and measurements. 8)

It's a Moss/Cobalt 90-97 Miata headlight conversion. :)

Similar to this: (if not the same one, doesn't look like projectors in the pic, though)

Oh I thought it was another kit for the mr2.

Ive never taken the celicas headlights apart so I dont know how well this kit might work for them.

I found more pics of the kit being installed on the miata;

Here is a whole thread of available ones for the miata. Maybe we can find some good info here.

I dig the RS Active low-rise conversion...

I know one used to/maybe still does exist for the MR2... can't remember the name, though.

Dammit, what WAS that kit? It was somewhat popular for the MR2, was a low rise rectangle conversion. :(

Wonder how something like this would work
http://www.amazon.com/72-79-TOYOTA-CELI ... B002JLYT4G

OR Why not just go 164 ecodes and alter the stock housing? hi/low xenon.. Stock like look, great output and lower pop ups.

I emailed about having another run of these made but they never responded, maybe someone else could try.

Its on http://www.neeltec.co.uk/index2.html under custom stuff.

Im sure a bulk buy across several celica forums would generate enough interest.

I am really leaning towards a shorter housing and just fitting with a hid kit. I think that is the simplest solution.

I think it would look the best myself also.. This made my list but it will be a bit till I get to them. Matching fogs will be a must..

Pic didnt work. But by low rise we just mean the headlights don't need to open so far up.

Try now, i re-upped it. :)

Looks kindof like the 4Beam kit, which i don't think would have been hard to retro with HIDs, either.

Yeah, if we can find a bulb that is the same width and just shorter I think we can easily put something together.

I'll look around... i could have sworn when we were talking about this years ago a pontiac of some kind was mentioned that was almost 2" shorter than the H6054. (Assuming you were talking housings, right?)
