Run of the Ogopogo 2011 - Aug 5-7, Vernon, BC

Hi everyone,

The Run of the Ogopogo meet this year will be August 5-7. Time to book your calendars and those days off from work if you can!

For those who haven't been before, the "Run of the Ogopogo" meet is held annually in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada. I'm biased, but I think it is one of the best meets of the year and is a lot of fun. There will be an organized cruise, great photo ops, great meals, some fun activities (eg. go-karting!), and some prizes too. We try to spice it up every year to make it that much better too. The location is perfect for getting people from Washington, Vancouver, interior BC, and Alberta all together at once. Not to mention, the weather is almost always beautiful that time of year in the Okanagan valley. I hope you can make it!

Over the coming weeks I will post up additional information on the T-Shirts, accommodations, driving directions, and a "itinerary" which we almost always divert from once we are there! haha. All in the name of fun of course.



Post up your info if you're going to make it. I think we will definitely have a good turnout this year as always! Can't wait to see everyone again.

The even has been primarily Toyota Celicas and Celica Supras in years past. If there were some other Toyotas that showed up, that would be alright too

There are a bunch of other Celica owners that come from Calgary each year to this event, so you may even have some company on the drive out!

I want to go but its going to depend on whats going on with my Alltrac, it might be sitting in the show room at Griots.

If it is I'm debating driving the 81 celica but not sure I want to drive it that far.

Hope you can make it, Don... but that's a pretty cool place for your awesome All Trac to be! How long is it there for?

for the month before PSTOF which is suppose to be the weekend after Ogopogo

If I get a job this summer, then I will be there. No matter what the trac looks like. And middle of summer I am hoping the whole leaking problem won't be a problem, otherwise I will make a Costco run for towels. No classes on Friday for Summer Quarter, so get out class at 3pm on Thursday maybe head up on Thursday or Friday. But that is IF I can get a job *fingers crossed*, I have started passively looking, the search will intensify in the next couple weeks. Then I should be able to go to PSTOF as well. But yeah no job means car stays parked in Vancouver, WA .

On a completely unrelated side-note . Anyone know of someplace hiring in Bellingham, WA. I am studying Applied Math and would love a job in a related field but I am not picky, I have worked some pretty crummy places, as long as it is part-time, my summer is going to be mostly devoted to my math and computer science classes.
