of course stuff is always too good to be true.

It turns out the mechanic was able to get the tranny off but cant seem to get it back in. him and 2 of his workers were at it for hours and just seem to be hating life right now. so they called it quits for today and now my tranny is just chillin on my driveway until tomorrow when they'll get crackin on it again.

I wouldn't even attempt to do the clutch without removing the engine. I bet those guys are beat to hell.

tilt top of engine as far back as you can go ... tilt top of trans as far forward as you can go ... with right angle there is a sweet spot right before the top of the xfer case will hit the firewall area ... watch corner of block and transfer case area thats where its getting caught ... push trans in and rotate reverse of above ...

I had an easier time getting the trans back on with the engine in the car than getting it off ... (getting that corner bolt in and tight is lots of fun unless u have a somewhat short ratcheting open end 14? cant remember)

I'd be surprised if they even come back.

After struggling with putting the trans back on, he's probably thinking Why the hell did I quote him $175.

I won't even do a NA MR2 for $175

It turns out that the clutch disk wasn't fitting the spline of the tranny and thats why they were having a hard time. Imma see if i can get a new disk or something from the place I got the clutch from.

BTW, I bought the clutch off ebay from "grip-force" blah blah. They are in industry and i just picked up the disk from La brea.

fuckin kill me.. =[[

The guy charged by 250 because of how long it took. Not too bad at all. it was just a bitch putting all those vacuum lines back since i totally forgot where they went
