Any New England Alltrac meets this summer?

Postby WarTowels » Sat Jun 07, 2008 7:20 pm

Just wondering if there are any MR2/Alltrac/Toyota meets going on in New England?

I'd like to see some more tracs!

That made me laugh, I'm still with living with my parents for another 6 months until I finish my internships and graduate.

I think they're opposed enough over one alltrac!

I wouldn't mind trying to get a dyno day at dent sport again, but this time we would need to do it right. I'm thinking $10 cash deposits to ensure that people show up and so we can actually get guaranteed dyno time with them.

Maybe I should start an interest thread- or we can use this one at a jumping off point.

Glad I got a reaction.

> I'm still with living with my parents

Are they into cars ? I'll bring cookies.

> I think they're opposed enough over one alltrac!

Oh ok. Didn't mean to put you on the spot. :P

I'd volunteer, but I already have 3 cars in the driveway.

> I wouldn't mind trying to get a dyno day at Dent Sport again,

I dunno. Seemed like work, and few takers last time.

> but this time we would need to do it right.

It would be better to be more organized.
I figured at least we all could find the place last time.

> I'm thinking $10 cash deposits to ensure that people show up

I think they wanted 1/2 ? At least $300 to make it worth while for them
to set up the dyno.
They do have meets with other groups ? Mention it on other forums ?

> and so we can actually get guaranteed dyno time with them.

I forget how many they said they "needed"...
More that 3 probably...

> Maybe I should start an interest thread-

I guess we did ?

beer week end ?

Postby GMan » Thu Jul 17, 2008 7:50 pm

Met an AT owner today locally in Boston. :D
Revived my interest in a meet.

Nothing big, who has some free time within
commuting distance of Boston for a beer (root Beer) ?

Would be good just to chat with some other AT owners,
even if their car is not running.

I'm still down for a meet, and getting those mirrors.

But both my GT and Alltrac are immobile for the moment.

Well, my dealership [IRA] is having a summer "series"; basically a car show at each dealership [they have 4 Toyota dealers :P].

The shop foreman has 80% convinced me to enter [means I'm getting the damn thing finally painted].
So, if any of the rest of you are interested we can set this up as a "meet".
No need to enter your car, you can come and look around, or enter to support the real Toyota performance cars.
I don't expect to win anything, more to show off for the old school folks and gearheads than the show kids.

I'll be at the one at my dealer, in Milford Ma.
Aug 9, reg is from 4 - 7 PM, don't remember what time judging is.

I can't really meet up beforehand, I have to work until 4, but if you are SERIOUS about a meet, we can do something with this.
Gives everyone a few weeks; there's a Fridays over the hill and a couple of other places we can go later if so desired.
