12" Sub for sale

I hope I'm not violating any rules by posting this here - just thought somebody in the local alltrac community might be interested.

I have this Polk GXR 12" sub I dropped in my own custom enclosure (as you can see it's not wrapped). I can guarantee it's air tight and will withstand any sub you put in this thing. Dimensions are 16"x16"x13.5".

I was looking to get $45 for it, but if you come get this thing TODAY (Feb 22nd) because I am tired of it taking up space in my house, you can have it for $30.00. I have more $$ than that in materials wrapped up in the enclosure alone.

It's a perfectly clean, hard-hitting driver.

Mods, if I'm not supposed to have this here, go ahead and remove it.

Thanks.

Thanks Willie.

Alright, I'm extending this $30- to whenever somebody wants to come get it. Frankly, I am tired of it taking up space.

With regards to the home system, I dunno what I was thinking, but unless I have a pretty hefty DC supply, I'm SOL.

Pleeeeeeeeeease, somebody buy this thing. :)

You can run it on a home theater.

Clearly not ideal, or anywhere near it. But it will work... how it sounds is another question. With a low pass cross over it might actually be OK.

I used to run a 12" Infinity sub rated at 1000watts off a 200 watt home audio receiver with no cross overs (had both laying around, might as well right?) and it actually worked, and didn't sound nearly as bad as one might think. I never planned on using the sub again, so it was fine by me if it thrashed in the process.

Since this is not good for the sub, I wouldn't ever use it for any other purpose after doing such experimentation's.

Just a thought.

If I had a AC/DC converter that could withstand some current, then I could use one of the mono block amps i have lying around and just run the pre-amp signal from the Denon to that....but I def don't want to try running a separate amplified channel directly to the sub...although it would probably get some kind of response. :)

^ Sweet post.

Could get a plate amp? Could incorporate it into your custom box easy enough.

Or just sell the sub alone on eBay.

I'll throw in a Rockford Fosgate 40W (80W+ bridged) Punch amp for just a mere extra $10.00.

So, $55.00 takes the whole setup.

This thing damn near rattled out my fillings when it sat in my Integra - hell of a deal for somebody looking for a starter setup

(I'm getting kinda desperate for space over here) :p

I just gave the damn thing away. Nobody was willing to throw out offers (even 'free') so Justin311 (big in the MR2 community) got it this weekend.
