Probably that or your cold start sensor. Or bad connections.
Idle Air Control Valve

RIalltrac":wyo6kknk said:is that the little bastard with the black plastic screw in it? The screw has a spring behind it? If so mine isnt under the TB, its more off to the side on the drivers side of the car. I've tried adjusting it, but it doesnt do squat

You got the manuals ? Or guessing ?

The water lines connect to the throttle body
on the bottom. The ISC IS on the bottom of the
of the throttle body as well. Hence it has
coolant flowing around in.

! there are coolant lines running to the ISC valve.
Right you Are. I am not Sure on the 1st gen,
but probably the same set up as the 2nd.
! I'm not sure if or how running pressure through
! the lines will fix the ISC valve if it's faulty.
I am Not sure either. It is a little magnet in a
coil, the ECU switches current to flap it opened
and closed. It would be Hard to clean with a
blast of air. You would need to take it apart 1st.
It is usually carbon build up too. Nothing but a
solvent is going to get it clean.
! Bang on it,
That may damge it ?
It is pretty simple, if time consuming; to clean.
! or get a new one.
And new screws, they strip when you take
them out. And the frggin little gasket for it too.
I got two in case.
I would be afraid to ask what one would charge
for the Whole ISC from Toyota.
