NEW ST185 IN VA

Postby sibex » Sat Jan 14, 2006 3:18 pm

HELLO MEMBERS.
JUST GOT IT 3 DAYS AGO :shoots: . ALREADY THINKING ABOUT MODS.
IT HAS STRAIGHT INTAKE, CATBACK. RUNS WELL. 178K MILES. HOW LONG CAN THE ORIGINAL CLUTCH LAST UNDER NON RACING NORMAL CONDITIONS. I HEARD IT WAS PRETTY EXPENSIVE TO HAVE THEM REPLACED.
HAVE RC FRONT BUMPER. LOOKING FOR FOG LIGHTS TO FIT IT. WILL GT/GTS FOG LIGHTS WORK WELL ?
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

Thanx D1 for your quick response, also caps will be noted.
So, I take it that 92-93 GT or ST fogs would fit RC bumper ?
Could that be confirmed ?
Also what is the heighest recorded mileage on this forum ?
Does any one know?
Thanks

I don't know the highest miles, but the lowest one should be around 25k miles. (not counting the one in the Toyota Museum)

The museum is in Torrance, CA.
It belongs to Toyota Corp.
I doubt that they will ever sell those cars.

You'll need a lot of $$$ to buy the one with 25k miles.
I remembered someone once offered him $X0,000
He didn't sell it. That "X" is not high enough I guess. :P

yO

When I first got mine I was already thinking the same way you were. I took care of some regular maintenance stuff first though which is always a good idea. Enjoy the long $$ road but in the end shes worth it

low mileage

Postby GMan » Tue Feb 07, 2006 3:12 am

There is One ST185 at the museum in Torrance, CA.
I forget the mileage. The Museum does have the
Millen/Ultimate/2000 awd turbo Celica , the yellow one.

There are 2 St185 in the Toyota Auto Museum in Nagoya
Japan, but not on display. Dunno milage of either

Toyota would Never sell their cars, unless they went
bankrupt or something. :-)

There are low mileage AllTracs that turn up now and again.
Rumor has it Jay Leno has one (?)

I have talked to people sitting on an AT with low mileage.
One rich dude said he had an St165 w-13kmiles? but never saw it.
He had a stable of cars to chose from.

I had ~110k miles on the stock clutch.
On my previous ST165 got about ~130k miles.

Good luck with the new car.
