Another noob question

How different does the exhaust sound with both catalytic converters off and just a muffler? It's higher pitched and louder isnt it? Colud some one thats took the off help me out? Thanks.

try this thread. its a very great exhaust system just by reading/listening to it. i was going to get it but it was on backorder and they canceled it :shrug:

Well I removed both my cats... according to Gary I have a turbo back system. Your exhaust will definitely sound louder.....a LOT louder. But the pitch will depend almost entirely on whether ur using an aftermarket downpipe (and the size) and what exhaust barrel you've got.

My exhaust is a free flowing 3" all the way down with stock downpipe and an HKS superdragger exhaust barrel and my pitch is nice and deep....AND LOUD!!! :smokes:

my personal setup is 3 inch turboback with an N1 (no cats anywhere)
no resonators either...unique, i must say...

and for the people who don't know:

turbo back: DP+full exhaust
axle back: pretty self explanitory
catback: yet again self explanitory...


i think a good DP is a huge factor in getting the turbo happy. it rids the initial backpressure which leads to a better spool.
