WooHoooo, just bought myself a 88 alltrac!!!

Postby amir904 » Thu Oct 26, 2006 4:19 pm

im psyched, just bought a 88 alltrac with about 140k on it. owned and maintaned by a toyota mechanic. its had the timing belt and water pump replaced, along with other belts, alternator, o2 sensor, starter, clutch, hoses, rings, rods, main bearings, and a full gasket set replaced. he said he also cleaned ad lapped the valves.

it does have some things wrong with it. the power steering fluid is leaking, the check engine light is on. anyone know the correct procedure for checking the codes?

i will post pics as soon as i pick it up next week and take pics.

Nice, welcome to the board! Looks like you have found a good 165. A lot of the people when buying 165s either has major engine problems or major body problems such as rust.

Post some pictures up when you can! :)
