In my AT, I have only seen the boost go up to 6/7 area. Is this normal or in stock ST165 ATs does, or is the boost ever supposed to hit 8? And how high can you turn up the boost so the injectors, fuel pump, turbo and everything else can handle it?

Thanks,
James

Once again, if you do a Search, you'll be able to find some info on this. But I'm not that lazy today so I'll start the response:

Firstly, what boost gauge are you using to measure boost? Stock gauge is crap...aftermarket gauges are cheap and much more reliable. The boost range on a 3sgte is 7-11 psi....I don't know if the 1st gen is less.

You would be more likely to hit fuel cut first before you see 11psi (unless you had it removed).

If your hoses that read boost are clogged, you will not hit full boost. The 3sgte usually switches between minimal boost (in my case 5psi) to a 'high boost' depending on how aggressivly you're hitting the throttle!

I'm sure the others will have more to add.

I believe the ST165 is ~8psi stock. If you gauge looks like like 7 psi, then I assume it is ok.

that normal boost and high boost is characteristic of boost spike.

also, fuel cut is circa 14psi, so i doubt 11lbs would hit it.

and +1 for doing searches...
