Hi

My girlfriend was driving her 91' alltrac in the sierras and downshifted to 3rd. Instead of getting 3rd we got a high-pitched whizzing / metal grinding noise. Coasted to side of road. When 3rd disintegrated, it cracked the case. The other gears still work, but it pumps all the gear oil out through the crack. It's been sitting for almost 2 years now. She is resigned to the fact that it can't be fixed for a reasonable amount of money so we will be putting up for sale shortly. She bought the car new, so its a one owner. It's located near Sonora, CA and will have to be towed to its new home.
