clutch alignment tool

Any one in ny have an alignment tool for the clutch on a st185? Just looking to borrow.

You can usually order the tool online for a under $10. When in a pinch, I've also used a deep socket with and extension and just made sure whatever size I use, it fits snug in the crank. HTH

My experience with clutch alignment tools was not good. I struggled to get a trans installed when I used one. I found that I could align the friction disk to the pressure plate without the tool just by checking around the edges as I adjusted the disk position. I've never had a problem installing the trans using this method. It does require that there be access around the edges of the pressure plate cover though. Some clutches may not provide the access needed.
