Hi Toyota brothers,
I have been reading on this site much time, and now I need your help. I hope help others with other issues. :)

I have a problem. I'm swapping a 3sgte 4gen on my celica st162 4gen (3sge 1gen). All is already BUT engine doesnt start. :(

Starter motor works fine, and engine craks but no spark. I think some information is locking this, or something. I have headache for many days. :bangshead:

I have found two connectors that i think it should came with some relay, or immobilizer, or module, or small ecu... i dont know if it is 100% necessary for the start.

I think all the wiring is correct but I can't be 100% sure.

Thanks for all. :)

I'm just starting this process, but if you have the ST246 Gen4, it has an immobilizer in the ECU. Sometimes it's referred to as Gen4.5 or Gen5. If that's the case, you'll need a workaround. I found a guy in Russia that claims he can fix the ECU to get around this issue. You can see info https://www.facebook.com/groups/all4swap/ I hope this may help.

Check n make sure you are getting 12v at ur coilpacks. This should be the black/red or black/white stripped wire. I believe it should be wire #4 on the plug.

Thank you for the replies.

I will check if I have 12v at coilpacks and I will check the wires.

The engine is from ST215. It has 'N2' plate next to '3SGTE' engine code.

I will go to the garage in a few hours and I will check as ideas as possible. Does anybody have more ideas?

Thank you very much,

The ECU needs to see the engine cranking to ground the coils. If you have 12v at the coils you might want to take a look at your crank sensor and wiring.

Also, did you check for any codes?

Hi friends thanks for you replies.

I haven't got spark (or 12v) at coils. I have one coil out, with the spark to see if there is voltage. Starter motor goes on and engine cranks but without spark.

I already have connected the A and B groups from the ECU because the engine came with wiring harness and ECU. And from D group, I have connected:
D-1: To battery (+)
D-3: To my old ST162 relay (I have tried in battery positive too)
D-16: To ignition, when I start

I have tried to ground the C20 wire for Neutral Start Switch, to try possibilities.

If you need some images, videos, information, please tell me. The image from ST215 ECU pinout colors I have is http://imgur.com/a/BH8ZX. In the image i don't understand the asterisks (*) and dashes (-, --) in the colors description.

I am all days thinking but no progress. I only need to start that motor !! :bangshead:

If you have any ideas, please tell me. Thanks in advance!!
