Well I am not toyota, but I expect that the fronts are open because a variety of service routines call for the strut housing to be moved out of the range of the line, so they want you to be able to remove the line.

Megan racing offers several spring rate choices, but all the packaged versions will be the same. This is why we have to decide NOW before they are packaged.

can we opt for softer spring rates at the front eg 7 or 7.5? I am more into comfort then hardcore driving..

well the spring rates are fine. The car rides smooth and with just a twist of the dial, it can ride hard. So go ahead and tell them to start the production.

Sounds good to me!

Note: When these same coilovers are put on an ST165, they will seem "stiffer" due to the lighter weight of ST165.

Put the settings all the way to soft and see how it responsds to speed bumps and dips.

Aren't there already soft coil overs? If we are getting some better ones shouldn't they come with a race type spring for AutoX/Road race/Time Attack?

I would prefer that they come with a hard spring.

I am thinking of doing a pre-order discount. What would be a good enough deal to make you want to order in advance, maybe $25 off?

I believe in one of the earlier threads Robert did mention that around $900?? would be the price including shipping.

It'd probably have to be more than a $25 discount for me to pull away cash flow for an investment that would take an indefinite amount of time to reach me.

It'd really depend on the wait time for these things. If I have to wait for about 2 months, yeah I'd do the $25 deal.

If it's 6-8 months... well I'd be looking at $75+ which probably would cut a decent amount off of your profit margin.

I don't suppose these coilovers can increase the ride height over stock?

By pre-order discount, do you mean a deposit or paid in full to get $25 off?

I don't think so, but stock ride height is very possible.
