We are gauging interest to see if it would be worth while to make Hydra Nemesis Plug and Play for the ST165.

Price would be $1795 with wideband.

What kind of features can we expect? I've never actually looked into it before since it's gen2+ only. If it's a good system and plug and play, I'd definetly be interested within 6 months.

I have had one for almost 2 years now, first in my sc now my 165 (same plugs just reassigned the wires) they have always been available if you supply an donor ecu for the connectors. Awsome ems! seems like a good price as well, is there a new source for the connectors?

Most any connector is available from AMP distributors with a large enough order.

Thumbs up on the Hydra for AllTracs, it is a very nice EMS!

*note for ST165 the Nemesis is not 100% perfect pnp because you will need to route the fuel pump switch from the AFM to the Nemesis in order to remove the AFM from the system. Also, if you want to run the injectors in full sequential mode (which I recommend because it makes a little bit more torque and gives you slightly better fuel economy) you will need to rewire two of the injectors.

can i get one tomorrow? dead serious. i've got the money. i saw the pricing for an AEM EMS and about cried. this is cheaper wired than that would be in a box. can i get one tomorrow?

Hi Jeff,

The Nemesis can currently be done for a ST165 if you supply an ECU with connectors in good shape – that’s the gating factor. As I understand it, the AEM already is available plug and play for the 165, so I’m not sure why they would need to wire it in. The Nemesis is about $200 less expensive than the AEM, but other than that, they are fairly comparable.

Question time!

#1 How many ignition drivers does the Nemesis support? Will it do coil on plug?

#2 And will it support sequential operation of staged injectors? Do the primary injectors remain on, or can it be configured for secondary fire only at a given rpm, then reintroduce the primary injectors at a second later rpm?

The Nemesis has 8 ignition outputs. All outputs are 5 volt low-level fire signals that drive a standard ignitor circuit directly.

The staged injector strategy is hardcoded into the firmware and there is no control over when the primaries and secondaires kick in. You just put how much fuel you want in the map and it brings in the secondaries when it needs to to deliver more fuel.

All this stuff is way beyond plug and play, however.
