ALERT: Stolen '73 Challenger on the Eastern Coast!!!!

Postby Street_Chally73 » Wed Apr 11, 2012 6:14 am

Hopefully the mods will approve of this, since it's kinda an auto emergency for a very unfortunate Challenger owner...Anyways, here's the deal.

V.I.N. #JH23G3B305224

Back towards the end of March a fellow member of C-C.com's friend had his '73 Dodge Challenger stolen from wherever it was being stored in the Burncoat St. area of Worcester, MA on March 22nd. The most distinguishing features about it is that it had a '71 grille installed (two openings on either side as opposed to the "frowning" grille the '72-'74 Challengers came equipped with from the factory. It's Plum Crazy purple with a large chrome scoop sticking through the flat hood & was stolen from a locked garage around Massachusetts & may have been on its way to New Hampshire or New England based on what information was given in the original post.

Additional information can be found through the original link at C-C.com:
http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index ... c=83815.15

If anyone happens to notice a car or even parts that appear to have come from this vehicle suddenly for sale or simply sitting somewhat suspicious around the area, please contact the local authorities so they can possibly pursue it further.

Thanks guys!! :notworthy:

If this was my personal car I would certainly hope that the amount of publicity it's getting would eventually bring it back to me without any major damages/issues...And I wouldn't mind getting a chance to meet the person(s) who were responsible for stealing it. :shoots: :owned:

Here's an update on the car's disappearance:

Apparently, Bank of America in Mass. has decided that dealing with money is no longer profitable enough for them, so they've resorted to G.T.A. instead.

Yet, another good reason to bank at a credit union!

I bet the cost of a storage unit doesn't seem so expensive now. This is a grown man with big boy toys being stored at his deceased Mom's house that is going through foreclosure, does this not seem odd to anyone else :bs: :bs: . Maybe he should have helped his Mom out of debt by selling it so she could keep her home   just saying. I think the story just sounds a bit off to me. If this guy’s car really was stolen that is a shame, but I personally think the real shame here is a son watched as his Mom struggled to pay for a house and died in serious debt while he saved a little cash by storing his expensive muscle car at her home that was going through foreclosure :nono: :nono: :x :x .

Yeah, I didn't read too much into the story either. The whole thing made me raise one eyebrow. But hopefully it works out for the guy!
