Found an All Trac in my area need some advice.

Hello I found an All Trac in my area, and wanted some advice on if it was a good deal or not. http://lubbock.craigslist.org/cto/3891320785.html Here's the ad. I wanted to know how difficult it is working on an All Trac.

They're a bit of a pain but they're as straightforward as any other Toyota... That's a good price if the engine/trans really are rebuilt.

Not bad for in progress but sucks that all the internal work is an unknown unless he has pics and documents on what was done to it ...

It's actually decently priced for a project car. Just assume that you're going to have to spend at least another $2500 if not more over the purchase price to get it in roadworthy condition. The biggest thing you should check for is whether the rust is worse that he says. That's harder and more expensive to fix than an engine in some cases.
