original paint colour?

It's my understanding that the color is not encoded in the VIN. This link supports that understanding:

I emailed toyota.ca and they answered ... It was a huge suprise lol I was doing quarter work and I found 2 different shades of red, in the engine bay it's black (I thought spray bomb) then trunk wing has black patches, and gas filler internals ar black. So I was confused to say the least!

So what color did it end up being?
You could of lifted up a section of carpet or the bottom of the back seats to see what color the cabin is.
I think the red colors were super red and medium red pearl. I think there's 2 black colors as well. Black and khaki black metallic (which looks brownish in the sun)
