Hey guys sorry I haven't responded in awhile. I have been dealing with a lot recently and haven't been on the forums. I have not recieved an e-mail from Scott since 6/28 when he told me that he would post directly to the forum to tell everyone what was going on. He also said that he hadn't checked the measurements yet :( . I will email him again today for an update and see what he says. Again this is NOT dead yet and I truly apologize for my absence. You can e-burn me at the stake if you want lol.
Regards, Allen

YAY UPDATE TIME!!!!! 8) I just got an email response from Scott. Here:

No worries man, I understand. Glad to hear you guys are still on board. Quaife confirmed that they do not have a drawing for the diff I have here so it's actually on a pallet, in a plane, on the way to Quaife so they can check it out in person. I apologize for that taking so long, but I had several other things to send them and it took a while to coordinate everything.

We should know something real soon and updates should be more frequent now.

This seems to be excellent news! Hopefully we get a response soon from Quaife UK. I will be checking both my email and this forum a lot more now that my life is together somewhat again. Should I start a new interest thread in the new Group Buy sub-forum or continue to update this one? If I start a new thread I could put "UPDATE" in the title everytime I hear something. Completely up to you guys. Again if anybody has any questions who isn't a board member my email is: wood_allen@msn.com

This is awesome news. I just tore my tranny apart to redo all my synchros and on my ST185RC trans I am changing my 3.933 final drive gears to an MR2 4.285 gears.

Now my big question is since the diff unit is a front and center unit then bolts together. Is the diff Quaife is going to produce if they do both the front and center differentials?

Thanks for the update allen!

You've saved me from putting any more silly gifs up for the time being XD

I agree with underscore about keeping this thread going until we can Qualife confirmed and then have everyone check in on a new Group Buy forum thread once we get the green light.

Im struggling with the grammatical errors.
Quaife should be producing just the front LSD so its like half of a sphere.
I very very very recently had my gearbox in pieces on a workshop bench and you really get to admire how Toyota squeeze a front and center LSD into something that resembles a sphere with a spine and spline shafts coming out of it.

Production costs would easily double if they were to make a center diff to compliment the front LSD.

Sounds like a plan in regards to the thread. rm2932 they are just going to build the front diff. I am personally going to use the uprated viscous coupling that Mario provides I just have to figure out the bias once the LSD is in. I figure with this front, uprated center, and clutch type rear I should be able to tune the drivetrain the way I want it. Look at what mario said in his thread regarding the center diff. He said his vehicle seemed to want to oversteer and drive itself around corners much easier than stock. For me, with what little time I drove my trac, I found the largest problem was how much understeer this car has. I figure with the suspension and drivetrain mods I am planning I should be able to remove this issue. I spoke with Scott about the viscous coupling and they said they would not mess with it.
athousandleaves: Keep putting up pictures that made me lol for a good while haha!

rm2932: What rear are you running or planning to run? It looks as though your car is going to make twice the power mine does lol!
