E153 Tranny into ST185 - linkage and axles

Has anyone on here done this, and if so, what did you use for shift linkage...the info...93 MR2 tranny, so the shifter levers are now in the front of my engine bay, and not back by the firewall like on the normal celica trannys. Also, as far as axles, does anyone know what to use, or do I have to have ones custom made?

You would also need the alltrac center differential. You would have to rip your mr2 transmission, remove 5th gear, its a mess.

Good luck. Just buy a alltrac tranny :)

I have an alltrac tranny already. The only thing is that i dont want to run the awd setup. i want something lighter, but just as strong with the availability for parts. hence the MR2 tranny.
