need some info

Ok so I'm in the process of building a 5sgte for my st184. Anyone know what material the crankshafts made out of. Is it cast iron or harden steel. I ran into a problem when it came to machining my crank to fit the 3sgte rods. So any info would be much apreciated. Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section.

If memory serves me right, it is forged steel.

Thanks for the info. Can anyone tell me what needs to be done to fit the 3s rods to a 5s crank.

Here's a breakdown of what I have for the bottom end.. And if I need anything else please let me know.

3sgte forged con rods
3sgte bearings
5sfe crankshaft.
5sfe main bearings
5sfe forged pistons wrist pins and rings..
5sfe flywheel.
5sfe thrust washers

All are brand new except the crank and flywheel.

machine the crank. you should have just gotten 5s rods and bearings. then no machining needed (less room for failure)
