It depends on what you want your car to do and how you like driving, I feel I would like a 1.5way, even for the gravel...
But its not one of those things where you can try it and then change it to see what the difference is unfortunately...
But I would say you are correct.

Its hypothetical, but I would say you will most likely experience the car pushing more with a 2way, a 1.5 way will allow more slip in over-run so it will probably turn in a little easier...

Actually, if you go to the cusco web site, there is some good literature on how the different types of diffs work and how they would affect the handling of your car...
