Kaaz Gear Set

Postby rallygarage » Tue Feb 11, 2014 4:01 pm

I was pointed by a rally team from Germany to a 5 speed gear set made by Kaaz and found on KaazUSA.com that fits GT4 transmissions. It will convert a completly useless rally or a rally cross transmission into something useful. In a stock gear setup on gravel or tarmac only 2nd and 3rd gears are ususaaly useful. Rarely you go fast enough to shift into 4th. This kit helps. Much better ratios. It is expencive at $3100. However without that and a at least a proper rear LSD this car is not competitive at all and is even less sutable for beginners.

I wonder if the gears are tougher than normal gears or just different ratios mix-and-matched from stock gears?

considering there are not any options the price is not to bad. For the rear diff cusco makes a much more stout unit that the factory torsen.
I can contact Kazz as to the durability of the gear set, although the factory ones don't seem to have much of a problem with breakage. xiiimotorsports is an authorized vendor for KAZZ products should you guys need someone to go through let me know I would be happy to help.
