Can the 185 trans syncros be upgraded?

Have my 185 and the trans and the front diff are apart. Now I remember 11+ years ago on my first 90 185 that 3rd gear was a pain sometimes and had the infamous grind. Now that I have this trans apart I'm wondering if I can upgrade the syncros in order to prevent that from being a problem on this build. As in maybe stock 205 syncros which I believe are doubled up to prevent this problem. Has anyone done this before or have a recommendation while I have it all apart? I would pay a trans shop to do it as its over my head as far as my experience with the car THANKS :notworthy: :notworthy: .

Im pretty sure that if you order synchros for a 185 gbox, they actually give you the newer better synchros that went into the ST215 gbox.

Why wouldn't you get the 205 gear box from the dealer instead of the ST215?
