Thanks. I think I will try a ghost small strip at the rear. It will be barely noticeable. Even now, I have to point it out for it to be seen.

Met up with two other alltracs tonight.

Looking good! BTW (Do you have a write up on the dual gauge pod set up you have on the steering column?)

I'm curious about the white ST202. Does it have a 3S swap? Anymore pics?

Don't stress the paint chip too much (If you barely notice it). If you have touch up paint that matches, use it.

Thanks. I did touch it up, but the paint is much lighter than the car. I might send a piece to paint scratch to get them to better match it. Its tiny, smaller than eraser head, but I still know its there.

I know there is a little posted in this thread. Toyota Todd started the project. I think he glassed some pods onto an oem column. I then finished it by taking care of any cracks or dips. I ordered some paint that matches our interior and then primed and painted it. I might make a new one once I get my 3D printer, but I like it for now. I need to pick up a new bottom piece as mine is a bit broken somehow, and I had to rig up stops for the screws.

Took the alltrac out before getting it ready to store. Would like to drive it one more time before I go to Malaysia. Messed with the boost controller some, but its still not quite there. At least I figured out my low boost in low gears. Hoping the tie rod extension is done early next year then I can tinker on a few bits and have it ready for next spring.

Thanks. I'll be there till the middle of Jan. I kind of do the same thing. Buy stuff for it but I don't have much time to mess with it. Next year will be real busy for me once I launch the new biz but my goal is the resolve this bump steer. I may start video blogging about the car on YouTube as well once I get my gopro.

Back from HK now. Here are the car pics from my trip. Not much has changed on the car. Its still in hibernation until all the salt is gone. I just need to move it some in the garage. I got a couple of universal parts for it over seas to mess around with, but nothing major. Anyhow, I was just going to post the cars I managed to get some shots of in Malaysia, Singapore, Macau, and Hong Kong. There is more travel stuff on my instagram, here is all the car related stuff.

Thanks guys!

I didn't get parts like I had planned but I got a few items. I picked up a plate bracket for Japanese cars. So it fits my bumper without modification. I will likely paint it black or body color. It also lets me angle the plate down. I don't want to run a front plate, but if I have to, this is a good option.

My sister has been stuck in HK since the beginning of the year, just renewed her visa today for China... what a pain!

Did her visa expire while on travel? I love HK for toy collecting, but if I was store there for other reasons, I might loose my patience after a while.

She's been teaching English and French in China for a year and she just had to renew her Visa but it turned into a big delay as her boss was having issues getting the visa paperwork.

She was lamenting how expensive everything in HK is compared to where she was in China.

Looks like you saw a lot of really cool cars. That plate bracket looks neat but I'm not entirely sure what it's supposed to do haha. By chance do you know of a place to get license plate frames with the holes spaced for JDM plates? I want some to cover up the extra holes I had to drill in my plates but I can't find them for the life of me.

I passed through HK airport only on my way to Australia a couple years ago...the only thing I remember was how huge the airport was and also how foggy it was.

Ah, well hopefully it works out for her. HK is expensive unless your converting US dollars. Then you can get good deals. I am curious what people make an hour when you consider a meal at burger king is a bout $40HKD.

FOG or smog? Awful lot of factories there. I like parts about it, but the place is fast paced and tight.

There are plate frames on ebay and online. One place makes custom front plates. I wanted to run one with my official number but the DMV says that won't fly. I might try and make an official cover for mine later this year when I mess with the body work some, but I am not sure yet.
The plate bracket I got is fairly standard. The key thing about it is the spacing for JDM plate bolts.

Here is another view of the same one I have. This one says TRD though. I don't like fake cf, so I plan on painting it. The metal bracket where you attach the plate can be angled however you like. Just a clue on this, supposedly when cops should lidar they aim for the plate since its suppose to stay 90 degrees.

Typically the reflective layer on your plates is styled after a retro reflector, therefore the light will always return to it's source regardless of the angle your plate is at.
Also they will aim at any forward facing headlights or glass so unless you remove those your speed will still be measured.
Also DOT requires all cars to have retro reflectors visible from the front and side in case your lights burn out or your car is parked.
Pretty sure thats been law since at least the 80's?

Only way to not get measured is having an Infrared light. Most LIDAR jammers make it impossible for the car to be measured up to a specific distance. A lot of luxury cars have tried to incorporate infrared night vision cameras or IR based cruise control but they are disable by the DOT until they are made to be compatible with LIDAR. I believe Tesla recently had to deal with this.

Good to know. At least it will serve its purpose as a plate bracket well enough.

I have started working on a new design. Once its done, I am offering shirts again for a short time then likely retiring the designs.
