Our engines dont have "lifters", what you are talking about are buckets :P

They will be about 2/3rds the weight.

They are still technically lifters, it refers to their function in the valve train. Not just which direction they lift or that they are shaped like a bucket.

Actually when I ordered the parts they are catalogued as "Lifter, valve"

So, pretty bored tonight and thought I would go through and post the up to date mod's and plans for the car.

I have all these parts lying around waiting to go back on the engine/in the car...the head needs to hurry up and get donededed.

Aeromotive FPR and fuel lines

3" exhaust system...with one of the muffler tips dented during shipping :x

So heres the updated list of parts and such on the build thus far:

Engine:
-JE pistons 9:1 CR (have to check the bore, but I'm pretty they're .020" over from factory bore)
-Eagle H-beam rods
-ARP main & head studs
-MLS head gasket (need a new one have to measure the old one but i'm pretty sure with that compression ratio it was rather thick)
-All balanced and blueprinted when rebuilt

Cylinder head (Being built):
-Ferrea dual valve springs
-Shimless "bucket" conversion
-GSC 268 cams i/e
-ATS adjustable cam gears
(They do a port and polish for a pretty minimal price, debating having them do it for me)

Fuel system:
-Wolfkatz sidefeed fuel rail
-Supra TT 550cc injectors
-Walbro 255lph fuel pump
-Aeromotive adjustable FPR
-awesome OEM fuel filter

Engine management:
-AEM EMS
-AEM UEGO

Turbo:
-KO racing Street Brawler T3/T4 50trim .63 A/R
-Sweet Turbo XS MBC (anodized blue :smokes: )
-FMIC setup
-Turbo XS RFL BOV

Drivetrain:
-ACT 6 puck cluctch (unsprung)
-Solid shifter bushings

Suspension:
-GAB adjustables and lowering springs (rear)
-Lowering springs (front)
-SS Adjustable swaybar endlinks

Other mods/changes:
3" straight intake, Full 3" exhaust, AC delete, EGR delete, Charcoal canister delete, ATS knock sensor, no more crappy AFM

Also, working on sourcing a 3sge sidefeed manifold (found a couple out of state)

The head should be done in the next couple of weeks and should be able to get it back together and rolling within a couple of days after I get it back.

Thanks guys. The trim piece on the headlight is missing...misplaced it when I moved. Need to find it and replace it. Also, need to find a new carbon fiber trim piece above the bumper cover...the replacement I bought on ebay broke during shipping.

I like the wheels but I'm thinking about getting a little bit taller tires all around to fill in the wheel wells...I don't like how low profile those tires are, especially on an 18" wheel.

Very nice work.

What exhaust did you get there? I'm curious about what people are doing for mid-pipes, being as I need to replace the stock one in my trac (damn rust).

I found it on ebay...I'm pretty sure it's the ssautochrome exhaust, I bought it from a different seller though. It was the only 3" exhaust I could get in short order. They are few and far between so I bought it as soon as I saw it listed.

There are a few different topic floating around the board right now about people building midpipes so there may be some available soon.

New parts came...dropped them off at the machine shop and the head is closer to being finished.

New Gauges

I also ordered a 3sge intake manifold from what they told me was a 1987...either it wasnt or it was just a non T-vis one but they sent me the wrong manifold. I'm glad you can't ask these part salvage people any questions without them saying "Well, is it for a 3sge?" Yeah Idiot I'm not gonna try to explain to you the dynamics of interchangable parts within the same engine manufacturers...too complicated

Not that T-vis matters or that you know what it is...god. I may just stick with the stock 3sgte manifold...but then again I don't want to try to explain to the Tuner that there are lean cylinders that need to be compensated for...because I'm just an Idiot who can't tune his own engine...

Can't pull the manifold at a wrecker yourself? Would save some trouble..

I might have a 3SGE manifold for sale soon. Its already ported to match the TVIS plate and I plan on sandblasting it soon, should look like new.
