ok im a newb who found a gts wih the st185 already swapped into it, but it had a bad clutch and turbo, also was in time crunch and still am, so i bought an xs power turbo kit for the 3sgte from a guy off ebay. turns out the turbo is a huge super t70, which im pretty sure is gonna have extreme lag, but i figured id mount it up with the header and down pipe and see what it does. right now i gotta figure out what intercooler setup to go with because stock tmic wont fit due to the header. i would relly like to hit the 350-400whp mark, so id like any tips on the fastest most effective way to do it, meanwhile ill be search this forum for all the info i can find myself, but anything you guys want to chime in with would greatly be appreciated. thanx. i would like to go with a megasquirt ems, but not sure if there is any that dont require extensive wiring. right now ill raise fuel cut and boost and get a wideband and gauges so im not blowin things up. right now id like to get the max i can out of stock heads and gasket, for now and work my way up. il try to figure out how to put pics up, and try to keep yall posted with everything i upgrade. i have mechanicle skills and the common sense to go with it , but i admit when it comes to knowing performance limits, i dont know too much so ill be researching alot on this build, and excuse any dumb questions or bizarre ideas i might come up with. thank you :notworthy:

ok so i did some things to my car, modified stock bumper and cover to get a ton of air flow too top of intercooler andradiator, also put dual fans in and deleted ac completely, added 1800 watt sub system in trunk, and 6 gauges in the front , removed charcoal canister, just ordered my hydra nemesis epilson spec ecu, and gt3076r street brawler turbo kit from ko racing, also ordered 880cc top feed injectors and wolfkatz fuel rail and walbro pump. so now im just waiting on the mail man :?

That sounds like a much better setup then what was listed before :)

Good luck on the build and I would be really conservative running this thing unless you know the motor is perfect.

thanks for the advice, it started as a gradual build but my other vehicles were dying so i impulse bought the first setup just to get it on the road, and didnt have time to research, but now im tryin to take my time and do it right even though its painful. i want to keep it reliable as possible, so while my turbo and fuel upgrades can support 500whp im planning to slowly crank it up from stock as i do the needed internal upgrades, and know my engine is working fine. would eventually like to turn it up to 400whp or more depends on the mood im in when its safe to.

so, i have my ko gt3076r turbo kit , 880 injectors, hydra 2.7 road tuned by me, 255lp walbro lift pump, kyb excel-g struts, megan racing lowering springs, and 3 inch exhaust, with high flow cat, and glass pack installed. had car up to 145mph so far, about 12 psi, pulls all the way, if i had another gear itd be insane. took it to my first auto cross, with stock tires, rims, and swaybars, had lot of understeer, till boost it on exit, tires would cut loose, making it do a weird side ways drift. wish it was awd. ran 4 runs, first 77sec, second 67 sec, third 62sec, last was 60 sec. best anyone got was 47sec, but majority was running 50-55sec, there were civics, wrx,srt,lotus elis,bmw,miata,mustang, camaro,fiat,porsche, neon turbo. i got 6th place out of 7 in my class which was street modified, i forgot to tell them i was a novice or i would have been in that class. im happy with the results be cause i know my driving skills can use alot of improvement, plus my car has so much to be done for handling yet, so come next autocross season, i hope to have the car ready so my driving is all that needs improved. im loving my stup, and cant imagine how awesome itsd be if i maxed the turbo and fuel out yet. any ideas on what tire/wheel size/brand combination, sway bar and alignment settings i should use? think bfg gforce comp-2 tires, 17x9 +30 rims, suspension technique 7/8 rear sway bar, and whitelines alignment settings. but open to suggestions,. oh and whats the best brake/ rotor upgrade. thanks
