Updating this a bit, I removed the old turbo and replaced it with my spare, fixed the O2 sensor wiring so there's a proper plug now and replaced the sensor, and installed the xiiimotorsports aluminum north-south crossmember bushings. Unfortunately it appears the front end of my car is tweaked slightly so getting the front bushings in was a pain, I ended up having to use the old bolts because I just couldn't get the new ones to grab those stupid loose nuts with the way things are. The rear ones went in like a dream though, thanks again to klue and xiii for supplying yet another part that fits perfectly.

I am a bit worried running the front end of the crossmember with the solid bushings, only because the stock squishy ones allowed the crossmember to not line up with the frame properly (it's out by probably 1/4"). The solid bushings were able to pull everything back in line but I'm worried the stresses of the bushings trying to hold everything straight while the motor mount is trying to push it apart might brake something during a hard shift or launch or something. Do you guys think this is cause for concern or no?

While poking around under the car trying to find my PS leak I took a good look at the rub marks on the rotors from the ball joints, the drivers side was definitely worse than before so I filed down my ball joints where contact was obviously being made and then gave it a quick blast of paint so it'll be obvious if it touches again. I also gave the wheel wells a quick spray as well where they had been rubbing the tires for the same reason, then moved the 25mm spacers to the front to see what that does for rubbing.

I also got around to wiring and installing the new Clarion head unit, hopefully this one works better than the Alpine.

Took it for a rip and the tires rub on the front fenders like crazy with the 25mm spacers, the car looks killer with them though haha. Ball joints touched the rotors a tiny bit again but I wasn't pushing the car too hard due to the rubbing on the fenders. Filed down the ball joints some more, gave them a quick blast of paint along with the front fender lips where the tires rubbed it off, then moved the 25mm spacers to the back again and sprayed the rear lips where the paint was knocked off as well as the rust patch on the passenger side. Assuming the 3mm spacers I put up front don't solve my rubbing issues (I doubt they would) I'm on the hunt for extended wheel studs.

The Clarion head unit still gets interference so I'm thinking it's a grounding issue with the amp, the speakers don't sound blown anymore but not all of them work and this new deck is severely lacking features-wise. I might try tossing in a spare system 10 amp for starters and see what that gets me.

So somehow I snapped a wheel stud and it looks like in the process fudged up some other ones. I have no clue how it snapped or ended up loosening my wheel tho. Either way I no longer trust the old, beat up front wheel studs so I've got some ARP extended ones on order. I also picked up an NRG gen 2.5 quick release for the car, it looks like everything will bolt up with the MOMO wheel and hub but I'll have to get some new bolts to attach the QR to the hub and bore out the QR holes slightly since NRG uses smaller bolts than MOMO.

Damn I wish I could get ahold of those seats! I hate the leather ones, and like that darker grey that I don't think made it to the US.

If it wasn't for the weight I'd love them, you can't really see it in the pics but the little dashes are actually coloured. Maybe it's just me but the JDM seats seem to be narrower too.

ARP wheel studs finally showed up yesterday, we'll see how good their fitment is soon. They're actually for an IS300 but the Toyota part # for the wheel studs on both cars is the same.

The four spoke? Possibly putting it in my GTS which is where the three spoke came from.

I swapped in the extended wheel studs last night and it was a breeze, the IS300 ones were a perfect fit like they were supposed to be.

If you get these you'll have to run open ended lugnuts, even with an 8mm spacer my standard sized Motegi ones bottomed out before then fully clamped down on the rim.

So I finally cleaned it up and took it to a car show, washing it and detailing up close really showed me how bad my paint job is so I think I might vinyl wrap the whole car gloss black when I fix the rust.

Yeah it was a solid turnout, lots of nice Datsuns and a 1g Civic club showed up as well.

They had peoples choice awards for the car show for the non-Datsuns, Classified cleaned up and got 1/2/3 (1st, Owen's Nissan Skyline GTR on the left, 2nd Elliots Nissan Skyline GTR on the right, 3rd Rebecca's Nissan Silvia)

One more from a friend of mine, taken with a real camera and cleaned up this time.
