A couple updates since August. .

Last November I diagnosed and repaired an intermittent engine stalling issue when my Celica left me stranded in a store parking lot. I suspected it was a fuel pump issue but it was in fact a fuel pump relay that cause all my headaches, I was grateful it was this simple and that I didn't have to pull the tank and replace the pump :)

In December I finally got around to installing fog lights, it bugged the crap out of me that I had a switch hooked up to nothing. While at it I rewired the fog light circuit to function separate from the headlights.

And finally the long awaited front ST205 brake install. :D

Next up is mounting my System10 door panels once I find some speaker boxes. .

I had been on the lookout for replacement OZ centercaps for some time since I was down to one. The mounting tabs were breaking off the original set and slowly disappearing. I finally found a set on eBay that arrived today.

Not entirely sure they'll work for my application but I'll figure it out

Found some speaker boxes and finally got to install some new speakers as well as the System Ten panels.

Made my own speaker adapters.

And finally it's almost done, just need a few pieces like the panel inserts to complete.

On to the rear speakers. .

I had to make slight modifications to use my new speakers. The originals have a square mounting flange as well as a small lip that the edge of the flange rests against on each box. I trimmed this lip off and the speaker was able to sit flush against the box. A few little tweaks to the new speaker flange using a Dremel and done, much easier install than the front!

My rear tweeter covers have been broken since I got the car, I finally decided something needed to be done with these so after a little brainstorming and experimenting I found a sturdy fix. I cut a section from a Bondo self adhesive body filler patch and welded it in place using an old soldering iron. I used the other side as a reference while bending the metal. Very strong, probably stronger than the original flimsy tabs and it holds the cover in place firmly :)

Did the same for the opposite side.

It's been a couple years since I've cleaned and waxed this thing and I must say, she cleans up nicely!

SAD Day! I found some bubbling under the paint a few days ago and this morning I tapped on that area to clear away the loose paint. . . this is what I found

After clearing the cancer away I noticed a lot of material inside the panel and started pulling out as much as I could with a pair of hemostats then had the idea to vacuum the rest out. Minus the dirt and debris that was already in the cleaner, this is what I pulled out. . a lot of foam and other insulation.

My guess is that with one of the previous owners, a mouse had made a nest in that panel. All that material combined with water was obviously a bad combination. It sucks because I had no way of knowing this to prevent it. Anyways, I need to repair this section, is there anything I should do as far as preventative maintenance to help prevent this from happening again?

Nothing major going on with the Celica lately, just maintaining and driving. This past weekend I hosted a Gun Day Fun Day on my dad's property which was a little muddy, a friends truck got stuck in the mud so I volunteered to save the day :) Thought some of you may get a laugh out of this, wish I had a decent video to share.

A photographer friend of mine came out to take some pictures of the AllTrac. What I've seen so far looks great, I can't wait to see the others :)

Last month I had the airbag light come on and really didn't want to take it to the dealer so I did some searching and found a link on how to make a tool to read/delete codes. .
Do you have that link?

I'd like to make it too :D

The link is dead but I printed these instructions off at the time I made the tool, here's pictures of my copy.

I built one exactly like Zach's and it works great. I spent over an hour trying to "play the drums" to get my airbag code to clear with no success. First try with the tool and my airbag light was out.
