No longer available on TireRack in white but I see it in grey.

16x7 ET35. Tire size is 205/50/16.

I stumbled upon a freshly restored set of OZ wheels wrapped in Pilot Sport Cups in the UK and snagged them. They arrived in a week :D

Time to finally drop the rear end for a refresh.

Ordered new bushes and fresh control arms.

Image

Dropped rear end.

Image

Subframe stripped to bushings to prepare for bushing removal.

Image

Bushing removal process.

Image

All ready for powdercoating.

Image

Dropped the gas tank while I was here to upgrade to a Supra TT pump and see why my tank is leaking when I fill it more than 3/4...

Image

Well thats not so ba--oh...

ImageImage

Now to fix this. I'm tossing up between stripping it down entirely and taking it to a radiator shop for refurbishment or just applying some JB Weld Stik.

What would cause all that spider webbing on the tank?

Loving the progress. Keep it up. The webbing could be due to age/heat or both. I'd empty the tank and take it to a specialist, or check Eastwood products. Then later apply something that would keep moisture away and protect it from the elements. Something like a truck bed-liner coating. That's what I'm doing to my gas tanks.

Looks like you have a aluminum radiator. Any idea on the brand and part number?

How was the fit and finish? Was going to buy a new rad for mine but worth the extra $40 for a AL on if its decent quality.

Also if you ever stumble across anymore of those wheels let me know would love some of those for mine :)

Fitment is good. Highly recommended. Wheels were a rare find indeed.

I was originally going to go with a RENU but after stripping the tank and looking at the inside, I think I'm just going to have the crack welded.

Tank stripped

Image

Not too bad. Some corrosion just needs to be cleaned up

Image

Bit of rust here

Image

But otherwise very clean

Image

Subframe powdercoated (among some other things :))

Image

Bushings and diff installed

Image

Can't forget the new hardware

Image

New trailing arm bushings as well. These were a major PITA

Image

Installed

What is the diameter, width and offset of the Sparcos that you had? The only ones that I can find are the grey ones.

Which boots? The gaskets for the gas tank?

77179-16010 Evap Gasket
77169-14010 Fuel neck/inlet and fuel pump gasket (same gasket so need 2)
77169-14020 Fuel sender gauge gasket
