WRC dieing?
i was just watching wrc Ireland round on cable tv.
and i think FIA will kill the sport quickly.
its turned into a 2 manufacturer race, in a time of economic turmoil they should be making the sport as attractive to the car companies as possible.
pitty.

They really do need to do it old school. The fact manufactures had to set up the cars according to the rules and had no room to experiment and do R&D work is what has caused everyone to drop it, imo.

Eh I think its just a temporary pull out by the manufacturers. Maybe its a good time for toyota to FINALLY come back to rally. Even if wrc does die it won't matter much. Rally is more of a low budget grassroots sport anyway

yeh group b was a lil before my time i was two young or not born lol. but have seen video ckips and the cars and omg two days rally is for pussys.
as far as toyots getting back in, i dunno with the economic crisis hitting australia to the point where toyota cancelled the trd aurion (one of the quickest cheap factory cars) i just cant see them funding wrc car, but then i dont know how hard this has hit toyota europe and asia, they could be a different story

Some of the wildest dudes I ever met are rally car drivers, past and present. Most of the track guys I run into are as sweet and soft as a cupcake with sprinkles when compared to your average rally crew. Just saying i do both and the REAL rally guys are balls to the wall, no pu@@#% allowed. The land speed guys seem to be a particularly rowdy crowd too.
But nothing surpasses the legendary groupe b drivers.
