Rally Car back online

My baby was in surgery for the last seven months but we finally got #2866 back on the road. I went through and tested the engine and interior wiring harness and fixed all of the past hackjobs that led to electrical issues at the Sandblast rally last year.

I found a nice 162 at the pick and pull and grabbed most of my doner parts from that. There were also two late model BMWs at the yard (a 540i and a 740il) so I pulled most of the wire and eletrical components from those and used them to build a new power and ground system for the Trac.

She runs smooth as glass now and I am now focused on trying new alignment, suspension, and brake setups in preperation for Rally TN.

I would like to thank alltrac.net for helping me get through this job sucessfully with the vast knowledge found on this forum. I would also like to thank FGfennec and Locofrancais for letting me borrow parts for testing.

Here are a few Pics from two different test cruises, sorry for the low quality:

Nice!
I am very interested in your setup. Also interested in how you made the lightbar. I was going to mount my rallye 4000's in the same way. What wattage bulbs are you running and do you have a high output alternator?

Sorry it took me so long to respond I have been busy with work and have not had time for important stuff like rally cars. Late is better than never I guess.

I updated my sig with a little more info about the car.

gt4tified- I am using emanage blue for my engine control but am about to update that system to either a Haltech or an AEM.

BNZ- I play around with the alignment lot and yes the more poly stuff the better. Ride height and other variables change drastically according to where the rally is. As far as a must have I would say that undercarriage protection and suspension is the most important thing to prepare besides obvious safety and rule book things.

Jasson88- Yes I do believe that the alternator is high output but I am really not sure since it was this way when I purchased it. I am not sure on the bulbs either but they are bright! The light bar came with the car but it is a fairly simple design.

Smog7- The 34mm restrictor was chopped up like that when I got the car but I think the idea is to allow more air in through the curve of the hose, not my idea. While the restrictor rule is lame as hell, it is kind of cool how much more power you make down low versus not having a restrictor.

Alright fellas, to go along with the crap cell phone pics, here is some crap cell phone video of torture testing the rear diff on rally tires:
