Need intake hoses, etc for ST185

Postby EvilStig » Tue Sep 19, 2017 1:43 am

Looking for the intake inlet flange between the plenum and intercooler, and the lower air charge elbow hose that connects to the turbocharger intake.

Also wanted but not as critical: the middle air charge elbow pipe that connects to aforementioned hose.

Also I am still looking for any leads on an ST185RC/ST205 intercooler sub radiator assembly and hoses.

I've called every junkyard in the area and nobody has seen an alltrac or MR2 turbo in years, so I'm getting pretty desperate here. Almost enough to just spend the money on a whole ebay engine.

The one that bolts to the throttle body was still available new, at least when I bought one for my RC a couple years ago. The turbo intake elbow can be replaced with the Samco kit, or there are a few other companies that make kits for the intake.

the bolt on throttle body adapter is no longer available at least as far as I can find. I've been driving myself crazy trying to track down a viable solution.

Both KO Racing and xiiimotorsports make metal replacements, it'd be a tight fit but if you order a short one you can use it with a standard rubber coupler instead.

Be sure to contact them first to ensure you get one that's short enough.

well shit I didn't know KO had a short version. I ordered one from BRD racing off the facebook group and the quality is incredibly poor.

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/272768921835
I bought this kit a few years back and it's held up really well. I went with the blue because it matched my Samco hoses. Although if I were to do it again I'm probably go all black.

I actually just ordered the ancillary hose kit from China for a rev33 GTE for an MR2. It was only $118 and I'm sure I'll be able to make use of most of the hoses. Obviously for a 25 year old car all of the rubber stuff is starting to fall apart

I'm almost positive I sold you one from my (running) car. . . Was it not to your liking? or did you need two? Sorry if it wasn't or if I'm thinking of someone else. Anyways, I have an aluminum one I got from somewhere (maybe xiiimotorsports) years ago that looks similar to the xiiimotorsports part linked above that I'd sell.

Autobahn 88 makes really nice stuff, I know of a few people who have used their hoses for a while now. I've got the Stoney Racing gen 3 kit on my car now and it's working quite well.

The one you sent me looked good but upon closer inspection was cracked all the way through. I think I only paid you for shipping though so no worries at all about it. Anyway the hunt continues

bump.

Still in need of throttle body inlet flange. Mine is cracked, and I can't find a replacement part anywhere. :c

Closest I think I've found is this, but as it's all aluminum and not rubber, I'm puzzled by how the fitment is supposed to work (stock one slips on over the intercooler pipe, then seals with a hose clamp) Anyone have any input on that? tbh I'd rather not pay $93 for an inlet flange, but I'm running out of options....

Use that and a silicone coupler with two clamps, that's what I'm doing. Granted I'm not using the top mount but the aluminum piece will work if short enough.
