Engine harness removal

Had a member here do a st205 swap into my alltrac. I was having a ems install yeaserday and when we pull on the harness some wires came apart. The guy who done the swap used butt connectors and took the insulation off sections of other wires to tap into them, no soder or even electrical tape WTF!!

Looking at this made to wonder wtf the rest of the wiring looks like.
I need so tips on removing the entire harness and having it reworked correctly .... thanks

This is what I would do. Excessive yes, but hey nothing is worse than trying to flag down unknown connections.

- Unplug all the harnesses from the ECU side
- Remove the passenger side glove compartment
- Run the loom through and under the AC into the firewall that goes into the engine
- Unbolt the engine at the mounting points
- Lift up the engine slowly, drop it and pull out engine
- Pull off harness and inspect

You could try to unplug everything from the engine and pull it thru the firewall but who knows what you may lose or snag/tear/break.
