Daytime Running Lights Install

for the white as power do we need to splice into both of the headlamp wires?
So that both headlamps get power, kind of a stupid question but just thought they may run dependantly, like i could hook one up with power and it would power up the other one? Plus the power is the orange with white strip wire coming off the headlamp pluggin?

Anyone see any problems?
