No, "stock" boost is normally 8 PSI.
8 - 12 PSI is acceptable in the service manual but 8 is what it normally is.

And I don't think the 185 MAP sensors can read up to 17 PSI. I'm not positive on that, but I'm pretty sure.
I do know the RC has the same MAP sensor as the regular ST185s.

WRC versions have a number of subtle differences to All-tracs & std GT4's the ECU & map sensors is just one of many.

One of the guys here in NZ fully restored his RC & in the process found a large number of parts different to std GT4's so he couldn't just use GT4 parts.

From what I gather the 'ct20b' is also a super back design compressor vs the flat back design in the other generations of the ct26.

And yeah all the gens got the same MAP sensor part number but the MR2's got different ones...

185 MAP is good to 18PSI
205 MAP is good to 26PSI minimum!!!

Fuel cut happens around 10psi.
Stock boost is 8 psi
ALL stock 3sgte's boosted between 8 and 10psi
Gen 3 fuel cut is 15psi

I cant say I know enough knowledge about the stock RC ST185 or the WRC ST205 and what their stock fuel cut thresholds actually were.

No, fuel cut on the 185 is 12, on the 205 is 17.

The rc is 17 as well.

I'm 95% sure stock boost is 6-7 in 1/2 and 10-11 in 3/4/5, at least on the 185.

The boost gauge I was using was T'd into the MAP sensor line. I've also checked the BGB specs on the MAP sensor using a multimeter and it was within spec
