I got my Hag. kit. The wheels suck. I like the "turbo" type wheels on the 165, but not on the 185 so much. The big problem w/ the wheels is that they are so damn narrow. The taymia kit's wheels are perfect in size, but I am using them for that kit. I am looking at other wheel options. You can get wheels that look just like famous vol wheels etc, but they cost from 9-15 usd + shipping. I was at walmart and say the jada toy car 1/24 scale for around 9usd. They have the same wheels from the famous manufacture and already painted. I may buy one of these just for the wheels and extra parts.

I have a couple friends that build models and every time we go somewhere like walmart, we sit there and scope out all the crappy metal kits for wheels and things like that. You'd be amazed at how many little pieces you can jack off those tuner metal model kits.

oh man u aint kidding. i got a box full of rims, wings, body kit pieces, headlights, trim etc.. i used to do up old 50's fords .. take an exacto and shave the trim, door handles, melt plastic here, add plastic there.. haha.. i wish i had pic's of them still the best was a 49 ford coupe, chopped top shaved everything, like 22" rims (to scale) back when like 15"s were cool, frenched in taillights off some car, frenched headlights off another model..

and i used to have the tamiya st-185 rc electric r/c 1/10th scale.. fun. i want to get a 165 now though, they're hard to find and usually really expensive.

I was looking at the wheels from the tuner cars and they are too narrow. And too large in diameter to fit my celica models. I guess they can get away w/ skinny wheels since the body kits are so low you can't really see the width on the wheels. Since the gt4 models do not have body kits you will notice how skinny the wheels are. I can make my wheels wider, that is not the problem, but finding tires to go on the wider wheels seems to be the problem. I am going to start the models right after I finish teh gt4 shirts. Which since my mac died might go back the pic since it just started working again. I hope to get the mac going tonight since I prefer to design this on the mac.

Here is my Castrol Celica by Tamiya, its electric and I am trying to restore it to mint condition, I got it from Ebay in very worn out condition. The pictures are pretty bad because of the poor lighting.

I wish I could find some gold OZ rally wheels. I am going to make a white celica w/gold wheels on 1 kit, and then one that looks just like my car will look when finished.

Found some gold OZ rims I got from an Sti model. Now I am looking for some yokohoma advan rims. They are the closest thing that I have that looks like Volk Gram Lights.

The OZ rims from the sti were not the ones I wanted. I found the exact OZ rims I wanted. I am going to do them in a gold color then do a white 185.

Image

Then I am doing a replica of my car with the wider wheels that I wanted.

I am going to paint the centers bronze just like th wheels I already have on the car.

I am thinking about buying another model and another transformer alternator to make a WRC RC transformer.

I'll make from this one since it matches up pretty close in dimensions.

Well my wheels came in and I picked up another hag kit. SO I am going to get one more set of wheels and then I will have everything. Just got to fabricate some ICs and such. I made a white one, but it looked to plain, I tink I am going to strip it and make a red one. Also need to pick up another transformer so I can make a gt4 transformer.

Well, after looking high and low for the wheels I wanted for MY celica--I found them. Had to buy an Rx7 D1 Kit. It has the authentic Rays Gram lights that I want to put on my alltrac. So after I finish the shirts, I should have a decent gallery of alltrac models.

A black one, a silver one, and a transformer one. :D

Maybe more.

That last Hagasagwa kit I ordered got lost in the mail. :shoots: Stupid post office told me they don't know how to help, me and I should harras the seller. ZNot sure how that will make things better.

Here is one kit I am doing so far. I have 6 sets of wheels, currently these and the ones that came with the kit are the only ones that fit. I will have to convert the others to male fitting. I do like the look of these gold oz on a silver car. Still have some work to do, but not bad for being my first model ever.
